![]() This should have been marketed as The Tarot Sequence 3.1, since that's what it is, and I think it was a serious misstep to market this as the first book in the spinoff series. And it really doesn't have anything to do with Magnus Academy at all, aside from one very brief scene that takes place there. Because people who aren't familiar with the main series are going to see this, see it's a first book, pick it up, and have no fricking clue what the hell is going on. It does none of the things a first book is supposed to do, like reintroduce the world and characters or establish itself as an independent series that can be read on its own. But as a first book in a new series, 2 stars. And Josh Hurley gets his usual 5 stars for performance on the narration. As a supplement to The Hourglass Throne, 4 stars, for sure. Maybe you can keep the healer at range that hey may possibly may not fall into sleep. This is a tough one to rate. I would save the attacks from partymembers that dont match the damage tiles for those turning attacks, otherwise they will lose too much hp and become useless. If they are too far away to reach it, perhaps an attack from another direction will do the trick to enable another chain attack. ![]() So you can use that with careful planning to have your characters hit the specific damage tiles. ![]() With that change of direction the damage tiles around him turn, too. you can use ranged weapons or normal attacks to your advantage though: the behemoth turns into the direction of the attacker as all monsters do. ![]() Problematic is that the behemoth reflects ranged damage. therefore its important to have secondary weapons equipped, to be able to attack according to the symbol on the tile. ![]() the damage will stack and deal considereable damage the more you can match the tiles. You have a good chance on dealing increased damage when you hit the symbol tile with the specific weapon attack (like spells, ranged, sword, lance, axe) several times. The best way to fight a behemoth is according to my oppinion to chain attacks like you do on other big monsters like helldogs. ![]()
